Booty & Core is a studio class built on targeted strengthening of the glutes and the core: an energetic but controlled workout where the two areas work together.
Strong hips, a stable centre
The class starts with a warm up, then blocks of glute and core exercises take turns, and we finish with stretching and a cool down. For the glutes, expect bridges, squats, lunges, side leg raises and kickbacks on all fours, often with a resistance band that keeps the tension on throughout. In the core work the abdominals, the obliques and the back all play their part, with attention on precise movement and on the breath. We work with high repetitions and short rests, so the muscles get properly tired while the technique stays precise.
This class is for you if
- you want firmer, stronger glutes and hips,
- you want more than crunches: a class that strengthens the whole trunk,
- you are looking for a stabler base for other sports (running, hiking, dance),
- an energetic, sweaty but controlled workout is your style.
What should you bring?
We provide all the equipment; you only need comfortable workout clothes. We recommend grippy Pilates socks, and as the pace is higher, water and a small towel come in especially handy.
Common questions about this class
Do we only work the glutes and the abs?
Those are the two main areas, but most exercises involve the whole body: the thighs, the muscles around the hips and the back work too, and the squats and lunges also challenge your stamina.
Can I join as a beginner?
Yes. The instructor gives an easier and a harder version of every exercise, and you choose the strength of the band and the weight to suit your level.
How is this different from Core Training?
Core Training focuses on trunk stability and the deep muscles. Booty & Core adds a strong focus on the glutes and the muscles around the hips to the core work, at a livelier pace.
Where is the Booty & Core class in Szeged?
Studio classes run in our Attila utca room, in the city centre.
When do I need to check with a doctor first?
In case of an acute injury, hip or knee replacement, advanced osteoporosis or pregnancy, ask for medical advice before joining, and tell the instructor about your condition.
